About Little Lights
What is Little Lights Initiative?
Little Lights is a newly ratified University of Windsor student non-profit supporting foster youth through fundraising, donation drives, volunteering, and community events.
Are you officially recognized by the University of Windsor?
Yes. Little Lights is a ratified student club at the University of Windsor.
Are you affiliated with a children’s aid society or foster care agency?
Not yet. We are currently building relationships with local agencies and community organizations. Official partnerships will be announced once they are confirmed.
Is Little Lights a registered charity? Can I get a tax receipt?
Little Lights is a student non-profit, but it is not a registered charity. We cannot issue charitable tax receipts at this time.
Why is some information still coming soon?
We were recently ratified and are still getting the club off the ground. Team updates, events, photos, and partnerships will be added as they become official. Follow @littlelightsuwin for the latest news.

How do I become a general member?
Our general member and volunteering form is open. It is the flexible, low-commitment way to join Little Lights, stay involved, and help when opportunities fit your schedule.

Student leadership and general member roles are intended for University of Windsor students. Community members, organizations, and businesses can still support us through donations, volunteering opportunities, and partnerships.
How can my organization or business partner with you?

How can I donate right now?
You can donate any amount online through our secure Square checkout. You can also donate in person at any Little Lights event or campus booth.

100% of donations and merchandise proceeds support Little Lights activities, including outreach, donation drives, event supplies, and future initiatives supporting foster youth.
Can I donate items instead of money?
We plan to accept item donations during specific drives. Each drive will include a list of needed items and drop-off details. Please check our Instagram or contact us before bringing items.
Do wristbands count as a donation?
Yes. At our events and booths, a minimum donation of $3 gets you a Little Lights wristband as a thank-you for supporting the initiative.

We are planning donation drives, fundraisers, volunteer opportunities, and community events. Our first events are still being scheduled.
